Math In Action Participation Form Due 9/20/2020 Hello, Parents: MATH IN ACTION is a free Math Enrichment offered to all the kids by Ellipsis Academy all over the academic year. Math in Action challenges all the kids beyond their daily math work. This is an action to push kids to their maximum potential and develop out of box thinking strategy and problem-solving skills. The PTA in Apollo continues providing MATH IN ACTION for our enrichment program this year. Visit http://apollopta. ourschoolpages.com/Page/ Programs/Math%20in%20Action for details. The program provides 15 sets of challenges throughout the school year; each set is published every other week starting in late September or early October and ending in May. These math challenges cover problem solving strategies such as drawing a picture or model, making an organized list, looking for a pattern, working backward, and guess and check. Each challenge presents 16 to 18 problems ordered by a level of difficulties which enables students from various grades to participate. All the challenges need to be submitted online for scoring. Each Math Challenge will be available to submit answers on https://testinaction. azurewebsites.net/ . Each participating student will have a pre-set login to the website and start the challenge when it's available online. How to participate? Please fill and submit the online form before 9/20. Laura Ni Vice President/Director of Programs of Apollo PTA Picking Up Pre-Ordered School Supplies Kits Dear Parents, If you didn't come to pick up your child(ren)'s pre-order school supplies box(es) during our open pickup window, but you still want to pick up your supplies box, please call Apollo office at 425-837-7500 and make an appointment for pick up. The current office hours are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9am to 4pm. Interested in donating your kit? The school is hosting Curriculum Night for parents and guardians of students.
